Bare my throat

Bare my throat

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I look at you,
  my eyes my only defense.

Words were not enough,
  so I watch you.

Already,
  you seem uncomfortable.

I don't blink,
  I watch you.

No matter what happens,
  you will remember my stare,
    when you sleep,
     I will return.

I watch you.
  You will remember,
and there is only a look of disgust.
