Resting on a flower

Resting on a flower

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Only for a moment,
trying not to add too much weight to the petal.

Sipping the dew,
waiting for the sun to rise,
    telling me to move along.

Living ever in night,
only for a moment to see the light.

Constantly in motion,
staying a step ahead of the dawn.
