Dreams

Dreams

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Oh.
I see your eyes have closed,
and you walk along one of my many paths.

Let me join you for awhile,
   subtly guiding you.

What should I show you?

Barely remembered moments?
Some you will try to hold onto in the moment of awakening?

Maybe something a bit more tawdry,
  arousing,
but making you toss in your shame?

No,
   not tonight.

I will give you a glimpse.
A glimpse of something for which you have been searching.

Of course,
I will take it away before you awake.

I can only show you dreams.

It is up to you to create the reality.

I didn't think about it at first, but this was most certainly inspired by a great writer, a Mr. Neil Gaiman. I love your work, Sir!

A nicely written piece, with a wonderful thought to ponder at the end. Create your reality from the dream.
