Wistful smile

Wistful smile

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Always,
  a momentary pause,
and after my face is unseen.

To give a sense of hope is not the goal.

Now,
  if by a few words,
   incite the search for hope?

So,
  turn my back,
walking away with a hidden grin.

interesting piece...poets give pause...not necessarily with the aim to give a sense of hope...we just report the feelings of the times...usually more of the hopelessness of things...but sometimes a reader finds hope in our words...and it twists our lips into that hidden grin...i guess it is okay if we can give some hope.

Sometimes it just happens, and I can't help, but enjoy it.
