Most will think I am crazy

Most will think I am crazy

A Poem by Jon Roggie

You just step aside,
  and let it happen.

Yes,
  you write the words,
but somehow they are not yours.

No effort,
  they flow.

Then,
  you come back.

Read what you have written,
  and you wonder.

Why?

This is an exact description of "divine inspiration" thought -- this is the way I have always written, pretty much flat out, without edits. If you write this way you kind of don't know where it came from, it's just there. There is a wonderful interview with Elizabeth Gilbert (Eat Pray Love) tries to describe this process as fairies -- she was roundly criticized, but personally, although whacky, I thought she was pretty close.
