A touch of sadness

A touch of sadness

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Always there,
  not always seen.

Merely a reminder,
   something not to be denied.

Don't misunderstand.
   I cherish them.

Memories savored.
  Ones not to be forgotten,
    because they are cherished.

Physical reminders,
  easily lost.

Moments caught by the mind,
fresh despite the passing of time.

Visited with a touch of sadness,
  always there,
    not always seen.
