Never stop learning

Never stop learning

A Poem by Jon Roggie

To stop learning
  is to let ideals stagnate.

Skills become commonplace.

Lessons are just follow through.

Learn something new,
if only to spark the mind.

Today I saw how to make a rose,
one made with apples and pie crust.

Tomorrow,
  I will try,
and in even that simple process,
      I will learn.

Consciousness has evolved with that need in mind. What we don’t know may interfere with our survival as a species, and so those who refused to learn went extinct eons ago.

It’s fun to explore,

where we act and not just talk
far beyond each lofty rock,
through the woods up to the dock

to each far-flung shore
to discover more.
