An introvert in a state of withdrawal

An introvert in a state of withdrawal

A Poem by Jon Roggie

It is all I need.
  The momentary fix.

A time alone,
just so I can drop all of the shields.

Only for a bit,
  and I will feel better.

A time alone,
and then I can be around the rest of you.

For a time,
  once again.

oh I know this exact feeling.....needing to be alone to regroup and face others again.

sometimes it gets overwhelming trying to be with others, and trying to be there for so many others...
we have to stop and take care of ourselves...

but it is especially hard for the introverts...to be among the extroverts....

Oh I completely understand… I use to think I was so odd..but once I learned what I was..I finally had a understanding of the need to recharge energy with solitude, where others get energy from people..
