Whispers in the grass

Whispers in the grass

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Still there?

I won't pretend.
  I hear you.

Followed me for awhile,
  always watching.

Walks through the forest,
  stroll along the beach.

Each meant to be a moment of solitude.

I knew you were there.

So,
if you insist on walking along,
   walk beside me.

Why should you hide?
