Roads not to take

Roads not to take

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Let's be honest.

Sometimes,
  you just know.

Not a good idea.

Others hit you later.
   "Why did I do that?'

One to be corrected,
  and maybe learned from.

Then,
   there are those ones.

The ones which scream at you to stop,

    and you can't help yourself.

Go muse!!!
This is a wonderful depiction of life. Christian or not, i find a verse from the bible that goes with this perfectly.
Romans 7: 14-20 is the whole verse, but here is the spliced version. "I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing."

Regardless, I love this poem and how it captures human nature!
