Time of the day

Time of the day

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Patience an effort,
even for a tortoise.

Excuse me,
have to vent.

Each a case of abandonment,
left for another to take the load.

Both involving a parent and child,
and both stuck in the middle.

A father bypassing morals,
whining for handouts.

A son forgetting a father,
unless profit is to be made.

In my controlled rage,
my eyes turn golden.
