Ever a child

Ever a child

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Grow up.

Did that a while ago.

No reason to turn my back.

Why lose the sense of wonder?

Why stop believing in the so called impossible?

Nope.

Then,
I couldn't show the vampire bite,
only left a mark on my neck.

The scar on my forehead,
you weren't the only one Harry.

and I did win the World Series,
how else did I get a ring?
Yes,
the same one glows green now and then.

Part of me will always be a child.

And they see it.
