Still figuring out writing

Still figuring out writing

A Poem by Jon Roggie

First,
I always choose spoken word.
Only one that fits.
I don't write,
I carry on a conversation.

After,
back to writing.

I know I tossed all the forms to the side.

They don't feel right.

Just does not convey my emotion.

Side note,
Introspection is making feel like a narsistic idiot.

Anyway,
I admire so many of you.

Your phrases add perspective.

Maybe,
might figure it out.

"no narcissistic idiot" here at all...just a contemplative writer wondering what it is all about...trying to put life in perspective...

and i have to say i feel the same about tossing forms to the side....with me that tossing just comes naturally...
this reminds me much of Robert Creeley...one of the beats i admired so greatly...
your writing in general has so many shades of him.

good stuff...

I had to look up Robert Creeley. Humbled by even a general comparison. Thank you.
