Cold on a summer day

Cold on a summer day

A Poem by Jon Roggie

The chill will not go away.

Roasting in the sun,
  sweating in the heat,
but the cold has sunk into my bones.

Where it has come from,
  I know not,
it has just found a home.

Symptoms of doubt or failure?
  Silent message of warning?

Something to which I must find the answer,
if I want to feel the warmth in the winter's night.
