Gather round the fire

Gather round the fire

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Don't worry.

You don't have to get too close.

Bit of warmth,
  while passing in the night.

Watch the eyes across the coals.

Grown long cold.

This is one I normally toss because of the tone, but the second read.... Arggh!
I think it has some potential but if you aren't feeling it...

I feel so sad for cold eyes one should never be without a light in their eyes, whether it's a glint of sun or the reflection of fire, eyes should never be empty. Don't scrap this.
