I can only try to share the memory

I can only try to share the memory

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Lemons big as grapefruit,
  still sweet.

Tree big enough for a treehouse,
but we just climbed in it.

Just a snapshot.

Wednesdays,
   always different.

Palm Springs in the early Seventies.

How do you tell Frank Sinatra's mom the eskimo pie is fine?

You don't.

How is an autographed picture from Gunsmoke normal?

     Festus by the way,
         "To my pardner, Jonathan"

But that was only one day.

Other days,
  Coachella before the festival.

Dropping off some fish from the weekend.

I know,
   I rambled.

Hard to share.
