I want to create a moment of joy

I want to create a moment of joy

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Which words should I use?

When a friend is broken,
I can't use the same old lines.

She has heard them all day long.

I can't stop the pain.

I can only be a friend.

Quiet support.

Selfish need is pushing me.

I no longer know whose pain,
only I want it to stop.

:: very beautiful and heartfelt poetry... she's really lucky to have a friend like you... in times like these, all one wants is the quiet support of a true friend...

i love this piece...we want so badly to stop the pain of a friend or lover that eventually the pain becomes ours just as well...and then we aren't sure if we are trying to stop that person's pain, or our own...

nicely done and this poem has such deep sincerity.

Again, thank you.
hard place to be..but sometimes the best thing we can do is just give a hug..or sit beside.. grieving is something we just have to work though individually…can make one feel inadequate at times..
