Hummingbird

Hummingbird

A Poem by Jon Roggie

So did you enjoy your meal?

Hover around the entire trip up the hill.

I wonder if you and your comrades enjoy this time,
cherish the time in your flighty moments.

Friends and I feed you,
  and we enjoy your antics.

I am the one you can tell stories to your children.

I am the one you trusted enough to be a place to land.

When I can, I will feed you, families, and friends.

Pleasure is mine,
  feeling the hum around me.
