Each night

Each night

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I travel.

Sights and places,
so many I need to remember.

Not that I want to live in dreams.

Sooth me in my sleep.

Help me through the day.

:: beautiful piece... sometimes i think we really do indulge in a lot of time traveling through the words we write...

I agree. Often, I think it is the wishful thinking of what we could change.

:: yeah... very true, monsieur jon...
I love this.

The complex simplicity.
Healing arrives,
when the lights go away,
and our child inside is allowed to play.
Lending youth to each new day.

Thank you, sir. I have been dealing with a bit of writer's block. Slowly getting around it.
