Dangle my toes in the fire

Dangle my toes in the fire

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Nudge the coals with my toes.

Enjoy the feel of warmth.

Opposite of the seasons,
my time of ice and frost,
     momentarily past.

Now a time of fire.

Now,
I must watch the flicker of the flame.
