Watch me stumble

Watch me stumble

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Make your judgements.
Not my problem.

You go for the obvious,
  no clue about the reality.

The stagger in my walk,
  comes not from drink,
  just from injuries.

The red tinge in my eyes,
  not from playing,
  just from pain.

I pretend to ignore your comments,
just like I try to ignore,
  my ankles,
  my knees,
  my shoulders,
  my wrists,
  and my hands.

So excuse me,
  if I turn away.

I will still move along.

Watch me stumble,
  and make your judgements.

jon,

i think those who judge are the ones who stumble badly...and we should laugh at them...

unfortunate that people are like that...you really do use your words carefully and wisely...lots spoken here...but certainly a nice tightly put together piece.

Thank you. Bit of a vent, but I try to keep it simple. I do appreciate your insight.

~ wow... this is overwhelming... reminds me of the time when my sanity was repeatedly questioned... by loved ones... and i nearly killed myself... until i realized they were as human as i was... except they didn't know that...

Too many people make judgements of others without a clue of what they may be going through. Thanks .. read more
