Meetings in the fog

Meetings in the fog

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Already your smile burns off the mist.

Face still unclear,
  but your presence shines.

Each time the glancing touch,
  erupts the inferno.

Each time a simple touch,
  burns away the fog.

Each time,
  we must say goodbye.

Until,
  another foggy day.

I thought the format and structure was great. Lately I have been drawn to poetry that exhibits simple language and a simple structure. The meaning, floating to the surface. Nothing to obstruct the view.

Thank you, princess.
Lyrics & music: daryl hall

Baby, if we can't solve any problems
Why do we lose so many tears?
Oh, so you go again
When the leading man appears
Always the same theme
But can't you see weve got everything going on and

Everytime you go away
You take a piece of me with you

Go on and go free
Maybe you're too close to me
I can feel your body move
But does it mean that much to me
I can't go on singing the same theme
Cause you can't see weve got everything
Baby, even though you know that

Every time you go away
You take a piece of me with you
You just don't care

Yes. Place in the mountains nearby. Dozens would show up whenever we put out the feeders.
