I wish I could still feel

I wish I could still feel

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Delicate touch,
  you say.

I try not to cringe.

Reticence is combined with an absence.

Not a lack of emotion,
  lack of feeling.

Fingers barely feel a feather's touch.

So each touch grows lighter.

The decrease tears.

So,
  I stroke your cheek,
  while I can still feel.
