Two sides of the same face.

Two sides of the same face.

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Yes.

I am quiet.
I try to be pleasant.

When my surroundings are blissful,
I have the chance to reflect.

Still,
  your anger causes me pain.

The distress around me,
  can break my breath.

Your violence will bring me to my knees.

There are three reasons.

The realization.

The desire to act.

The choice to restrain.

If you are foolish,
you will take it as a sign of weakness.

I only show fools my other face.
