The Tortise Winks

The Tortise Winks

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I  am always in a hurry.

Not my plan,
  just happens.

Stopped on the way to work.

Slowly going across the road..

Step out and get close.

In a hurry,
  stopped when I look

Not only did he stop.
   The tortoise winked.
