Come along

Come along

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Hello, old friend.

I know.

You don't recognize me.

Many times we have made this trip.

Many times I have brought you back.

For a bit,
  you can remember.

All of it.

All of the pain.

All of the wrongs you have done.

I am trying to help you grow.

So I balance.

Not only the memories of pain.

See the light?
See the joy?

Eventually,
  there is only light.

Not yet,
  still a few more times.

While you wait,
   while you can remember,
   learn.

Just a little longer.

Now it is time.

Another chance.

Try again.

Time to take my hand.

Come along.

Eventually, there is only light,
Not yet, still a few more times.

Almost reads from an angel of death perspective.

Very interesting perspective of enlightenment.

I hope you enjoyed. It is not easy for me to use so many words. I was stretching. Thank you.
