Not a rock

Not a rock

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Crying,
  running towards help.

Still you pursue.

Finally,
  she huddles.

Laughing,
  you grow closer.

Mistake.

Very big mistake.

Not a wall,
  she sought.

Not a boulder to hide behind.

Something,
  normally quiet.

Not a rock.

I have come back to this today after sitting with it for quite some time yesterday. It stayed with me and I am not sure how to express what it says to me...it is something I feel from it. Love it.

Thanks. This is a bit too fresh. Response to my niece being bullied and coming home crying.
