Once in awhile

Once in awhile

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Once in awhile,
  to take a chance,
  reaching oh so far.

Slyly speaking,
  while dropping those little clues.

Possibly showing,
  with every word,
  the person that you are.

Dodging and weaving.
  sometimes retreating,
while gathering the coming morning's dew.

Flashing by,
with a glimpse of a smile,
 and slowly changing,
 becoming the shooting star.
