Masks

Masks

A Poem by Jon Roggie

That look on my face.

Can you tell?
Can you see through?

Every day I am on the stage.

I work with emotions.

A smile.
A laugh.

Sometimes it takes all of my energy.

When I finally escape,
  I can rest.

I can let myself heal.

I can put away my masks.

Masks are part of us. We wear them to survive a day. Halloween mask are different then the mask of daily life. It is good when we can take off the mask and show our real face. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.
