A Moment

A Moment

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Let me take a moment.

We've got to know each other,
  but I have to explain.

Just the touch of another soul can set me in motion.

The touch of emotion...

You have no clue.

While you move on,
I am forced to live in that moment.

That crystal moment.

Moments become permanent memories. I look back in time and some faces and actions never leave my thoughts. I like the way you use a simple word and gave it reason and purpose. I like the closing line. Made the poem complete. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

I am amazed at how short yet powerful your words are.
'forced to live in that moment' you show that sometimes we cannot help not moving on, but are forced by someone else who is long gone.
