The Look

The Look

A Poem by Jon Roggie

O.K., I get it already.

Everyday, the stare.
The eyes following every move.
Judging.
Deciding.

Think that's smooth?
How close did you think you could get?
You know you're going to have to do that again.

It never ends.

I really hate shaving!

This is the one I finally read in front of a group. Maybe 30 to 40 people, but man, I was shaking like a leaf. It was a whole lot easier to do this kind of stuff in drama back in high school. Not sure if it was the solo thing, or if it was just the fact that it was my own stuff. Lot easier to go out there when you are putting on a different character.

You got me on this one, too. Surprise, surprise, surprise. Clever. :)
