Drive

A Poem by Jaclyn

Miles and miles of outstretched roads,
cars passing left and right like busy bees,
mountains and forests and cliffs and rivers
all blurring together behind the glass.
Pines turning to maples, maples to oaks
and oaks to palm trees,
their massive leaves swaying in the breeze.
Papers rustling and passengers chattering,
staring out the window as the scenes fly by,
watching as the sun sets on another day.
