Thief of Hearts

Thief of Hearts

A Poem by JustWantLove

 You had it.
 In your treasure chest,
 My heart was yours,
 Gave you no rest.
 You had me.
 All of me, was yours,
 Then just like that,
 You closed the doors.
 You killed me.
 Why, and how?
 Explain!
 Why cause your love,
 Forever pain?
 You had it all.
 No price too great.
 With rusted fingernails
 My soul is scraped.
 I want it back,
 All of my life,
 All days given to you,
 But not your lies.
 You keep those,
 And remember me,
 I'm worth too much
 ...and yet,
 You cannot see.
