Iris

Iris

A Poem by Diana Wolf (Jacqueline Stone)

She is my flower

A flower of spring

A flower for the discerning

She blooms once a year

but always looks grass

Only trained eyes know she is no weed

When her time comes

She blooms in all directions

No one can miss her beauty

She never can turns her back

Smiling from her tall stalk

To her deep roots

She is my flower

I will protect her

and allow her to grow larger with each bloom
