"So...dude, where are we going?"
"I said I'll tell you later. Now stop whining and keep up."
"I hate you, ya know."
"Cry about it."
Herald had grown rather impatient with Ori. They were hiking along a creek, and Ori refused to share where they were heading.
"How about this," Ori proposed, "you give me a dollar, and I tell you where we're going."
"Alright, fair enough," he moans as he reaches into his pocket and hands Ori the bill.
"Up the creek."
"You're a freaking hustler. Give me back my dollar."
"You were stupid enough to fall for it."
This was the breaking point for Herald. You see, Ori had a knack for finding trouble and always seeming to get Herald involved. They'd been best friends since they could remember, despite the fact that they pretty much hated each other most of the time. I guess that's how you get when you become as close as brothers.
"It's taking a lot for me to not throw you into the creek, Ori."
"Will you quit your bitching and follow me?"
"I've been following you. I'm tired."
"You're a baby."
With that, Herald simply turned to walk back from where they had come. He wasn't going to be made a fool today. He'd had enough of that with the time they'd gone cow tipping in Old Farmer Effertson's field. Herald wasn't aware at the time these were the same cows that tried killing and eating Ori.
"You big wuss! Get back up here and follow me!"
"Piss off, Ori. I'm tired of taking your orders."
"FINE! I'll eat the coconuts alone!"
Coconuts just happened to be Herald's favorite. He loved the juice the most, and never turned down a chance to get the slightest sip.
"I thought you'd change your mind for a coconut."
"Shut up and keep walking."
The hike only lasted a few more minutes and they reached the top of the hill. The only problem was, there were no coconuts to be found. Herald snapped.
"Where are the coconuts, you punk? You told me there were going to be some up here."
"No, I said I was going to eat coconuts alone if you didn't stay with me. They're at my house. I just didn't wanna hike up here alone."
"I really hate you. Can we go back down now?"
"Sure, let's go."
And with that first step back towards the bottom, Herald tripped Ori. He didn't stop rolling until he hit flat land at the bottom.
