Moon Dreams

Moon Dreams

A Poem by Justin Carr
"

A poem written by my mother and given to me for posting

"
Where did you go last night in your dreams?
I waited for you by a glistening stream
The moon was as bright as the heaven above
I wondered -  who will I share a song, a dance of love

Unrolling a string, I tied to my arrow
and shot it into a star hanging so low
My feet left the ground suddenly with flight
and finally I saw you on the edge of darkness and light

As you jumped little did you know
my arms were outstretched to catch you
ever so gently, ever so slow

Now the answer is clear where you were last night in your dreams,
wrapped tenderly in my arms under the glistening moon beams!
