A New Year's Promise.

I want to promise yourself to be with people who are worth it, bring happiness to you and good vibes

I want to promise yourself to celebrate your next birthday and New Year's with people you want to be with and feel excited about it

I want to promise yourself to go out of your comfort zone, that's where the magic happens

I want to promise yourself to do something for yourself everyday

I want to promise yourself to be happy and successful

I want to promise yourself to take things easily

I want to promise yourself to keep working on your dreams so that when you graduate you make them come true

I want to promise yourself to stop f*****g worrying about the future when nothing can be done

I want to promise yourself to be so full of love so that when other people see you, they will become attracted to you

I want to promise yourself to not stress so much and smile more

I want to promise yourself to take care of your body and work out more

I want to promise yourself to eat less luxurious food and more nourishing food 

I want to promise yourself to write more

I want to promise yourself to do well in University 

I want to promise yourself to stop comparing yourself to others

You are not other people

You are yourself, you grow and evolve in your own way

I want to promise yourself to get things done and don't procrastinate

I want to promise yourself to tell people what's on your mind

I want to promise yourself to be present

I want to promise yourself to stop judging others

I want to promise yourself to take charge of your life and don't wait for things to happen

I want you to be happy, stop f*****g overthinking and take things as they come.

Be so happy that your beautiful soul shines through *

A lovely and timely reminder for all - remember the good - do the good - be the good - thank you for taking the time to think and write.

I do find the repetition allows the reader to slip off the path a bit though - I wonder if there may be another way to present this.

what a lovely care for someone else, to not be so wrapped up in oneself, obviously, we know it's bad, I've really got to be great and do a lot you know, sometimes I wonder how much is enough? How much poetry is enough?

This is actually a promise written to myself for the new year. But it definitely applies to everyone, to improve themselves and grow as an individual. In my opinion, I don't think there is enough poetry!
