Frozen Dream

Frozen Dream

A Poem by J Schwenk
"

Hidden deep in the subconscious

"
I'm walking around
Can't get out
It's like I'm locked inside the dream
Inception
Like it's frozen
There's no way out
I'm stuck in a dream that won't move backward or forward
Running to get somewhere
It's no use
I'm running in every direction and still end up in the same place
Stuck in time
Getting nowhere
There's someone there, but the person is helpless
She is looking for a way out, too
We tried to scream
But no sound came out
Instead, we screamed in silence
Stupid silent screams
No one can hear us
It's just us two
Searching frantically to get out
Out of breath from all the running
Time stopped
It won't move
Locked
Locked in a frozen dream
With no way out

Really enjoyed reading the poem. You can feel all the emotions that are presented in the poem and that is a wonderful thing. The poem kinda made me think of the Maze Runner. I'm not entirely sure why.

Frustration and hopelessness, all go through it. Now when you have another being doing the same silent scream, take a deep breath and help each other out.
I don't know, of late, I have been full of positive energy and can't bear to let people think negative. I hope I help, not frustrate further.

I finished with a sense of hopelessness. Like the effort to find one's way on a moonless night but much more frustrating. Enjoyed reading.
