Icy ReflectionA Poem by J SchwenkYour reflection isn't what it seems.
Slowly appearing from the misty haze
A shadow appeared Walking towards the frozen pond Leaves crackled as the figure walked A cloud of white air formed as the person exhaled Reaching the pond Looking over the see the reflection On the icy surface The person stared back A chill rushed through the air Looking over at the surroundings No one there Just this person Breathing slowly In and out Colorful leaves danced in the air The sky was cloudy Not a sun in sight Foggy morning That person was me I'm staring at the icy reflection Dull eyes staring deep into my soul Staring right back at me Slowly, I turned and walked into the opposite direction Cloudy sky Welcome to London.
