Come and gone

Life comes and goes.

Looking out the window

Time passed

Trees are in full bloom

Summer is here

I looked up at the sky and saw your reflection

I feel cold

Winter is on its way

Everything covered in a white blanket

I'm here

But my head is somewhere else

Daydreaming of being on the beach

Looking for shells

I found one that made me think of you

Soft on the edges

The next morning, the snow melted

Another season has come and gone

The air is rich with scented flowers

Everything is in bloom

The earth comes to life

I looked at the shell

Thinking of waves crashing on the shore

Dropping the shell

I turned and walked into the distance

It didn't matter

Nothing does

Another season come and gone

And yet

Yet I'm still here.
