Daylight

Daylight

A Poem by jsanders2016
"

When your in a prison daylight is the one thing you want.

"

Daylight

I always feel trapped,

Surrounded in some way.

You say I’ll be here forever,

But I’d rather die than stay.

The pain of being in this prison,

Is unspeakable.

The door opens,

And daylight fills the room.

I walk out cautiously,

Afraid you might come back.

When you don’t come,

I keep walking.

I am free.
