Missing, Presumed SaneA Poem by J.A. Stevenscomplete and utter nonsenseMissing, Presumed Sane
By: J. A. Stevens Mamadabaa said to Papadabaa, “Where’d the Goobear go?” Papadabaa said to Mamadabaa, That he really didn’t know. “I saw him just the other day, He was playing in the snow.” Papadabaa said to Mamadabaa, “Did you look out in the car?” Mamadabaa said to Papadabaa, “No, I didn’t go that far. I though that I might look in there, When I drove it to the bar.” Mamadabaa said to Papadabaa, “Do you think he ran away?” Papadabaa said to Mamadabaa, That he really couldn’t say, “Maybe we should call the cops, Like we did on Houndog’s Day.” Papadabaa said to Mamadabaa, “Did you ask your brother Bill?” Mamadabaa said to Papadabaa, “I can’t because he’s ill. I’ll ask as soon as he gets home, And takes his yuk-yuk pill.” Mamadabaa said to Papadabaa, “Did he take his underwear?” Papadabaa said to Mamadabaa, That he really didn’t care. “As long as he ain’t run off again, With my brand-new store-bought hair.” Papadabaa said to Mamadabaa, “Do you think he went to Rome?” Mamadabaa said to Papadabaa, “He’s probably out with Jerome, And in maybe a million years or so, They’ll both come staggering home.” (36 lines) © Copyright 2012 J.A.
