The Storm

The Storm

A Poem by Joe S

The Storm                              by: Joe Stewart

      January 20/21, 2009

Early dawn forgotten, rains fall

Shallow streams quickly retreat

Clouds rumble, lightning flashes

Mid day sun has found defeat

Darkness binds the fiery rays

Shadows linger, thunders rage

Torrential winds scatter dust

Nature flaunting broken crust

Another day come and gone

Fear tomorrows early dawn
