Goodbye Love.

Goodbye Love.

A Poem by jrPaperheart
"

Love Found & Love Lost

"

I Watch You Fall From Heaven With The Weary Eyes of Mars

I Reach For You ; I Call Your Name - You're Twisting Through The Stars

And Sitting On This Cloud I've Made of Broken Lover's Hearts

I Lay Awake And Contemplate Just What We Really Are

See, If We Are Just What I've Thought - I'll Tighten Up My Grip

And Dive For You To Make a Bond Through Sweaty Fingertips

This is My Lie, I Tried, But Now Your Eyes Realize The Truth

My Tongue Pleads For Forgiveness As I Slip Away From You

So Please Don't Cry My Dove, You'll Die Without Your Soaring Wings

Goodbye My Love, Remember Us As What We Used To Be

Goodbye My Love, The Embers Burn As Your Last Sparrow Sings

Goodbye Love.

Another creative piece of work in an inventive form (the form not necessarily totally new but put to very good use). The rhyming scheme is excellent and the structure falls into place neatly as a result. Especially like the really clever triple-rhyme in this line:-

"This is My Lie, I Tried, But Now Your Eyes Realize The Truth"

A quality poem. Your work demands more coverage.

So sad to say goodbye to a lover, someone we genuinely still have feelings for, because the planets just aren't aligning for us. Nice work. I can feel your loss.

The first adjectives that came to my mind as I was reading this were dramatic and passionate. You develop the emotions, longing, pain and parting, into a carefully detailed poem that has an elegant flow.

Keep Writing. ^___^
