Whatever You Want

Whatever You Want

A Poem by Jennifer Roberts
"

Free verse.

"

I'm in agony.
A knife in my heart,
handle in my back,
I can't take it out.
    Take it out.
        Take it back.
    I won't take it back.
I'll fight you until my last breath.
    My life. Mine.
    I meant every word.
        I mean it.

And now,
The insides are coming out
rushing gushing my white t-shirt is blushing.

The room is spinning around me.
The world is stopping in front of me.
I fell.
I'm down,
spread me on the ground, cross my arms
force that smile on me.

Go ahead.

I'm a perfect thing now.
Won't fight, bite, yell, scream, or want.
Or refuse you.
