CrimsonA Poem by E. R. RawdingAn abused child who is considering ending it all...“I’ll always be there for you.” What if I don’t want you? What if I don’t want the hate, the anger, the hell that is you “being there for me?” What if I want freedom? Will you still be there for me, when it means never seeing me again? What if I want to leave? What will you say when I’m gone? What will you say when you find me, with my heart stopped? What will you say when you find me, floating in a crimson pool of my own doing? “I was always there for him.” Who will tell you that you weren’t? Who will watch you rip up the note, the note emblazoned with four simple words? “This Is Your Fault” Who will you tell that you drove me to this, this point of no return? How will you live the rest of your life? I guess I’ll never know, will I?
