One of many

A poem I wrote

If you are depressed you are one of many,
if you are old you are one of many;
if you are smart you are one of many,
and if you are alone you are one of many.

But this does not mean you are not unique,
for each mind is his to seek.

if you are abused you are one of many
if you are destitute you are one of many
if you cannot see a light at the end of the tunnel you are of many.

But maybe if you can see past what society has choose,
you can look to find something that can be self imposed.

if you are who you want to be you are not one of many,
because you became the change you fought.
