The race that can or cannot be won

The race that can or cannot be won

A Story by john
"

A fragment of philosophy.

"

In the past we evolved by adapting to our surroundings, At this point I fear that we must evolve to survive each other.

And I will make a conjecture that This can lead to a few options, Destruction of the human race itself because of inability to stop war and at some point and have it escalate to global levels. or complete peace and tolerance as a race leading to far more discoveries and positive change, But no matter the outcome humanity will change because the human race is a system like any other and it must change for good or bad. This change must come about through communication and its already happening with the internet and huge trade agreements such as NAFTA and the English language the most universally known language.

I foresee a "genius chip" that can increase the ability to solve complex problems beyond human ability. This is not entirely the work of fiction because we are already entering an age where computers will be able to compute more than the human brain has potential to know.

At this point my mind is blown.

I wanted to talk about the genius chip that you expressed. I believe there is nothin that will ever compete with brain, there isn't a supercomputer or piece of software that can. Think about it this way, every piece of software and hardware is created by a person, the programming to make it as smart as it is, is done by a human. These computers can't compute more than we know, they can just do it faster. They have no distractions like we do, nothing to interrupt their work. They can solve millions of problems in minutes or seconds, but all this is due to the man that programmed it to be this way. Maybe your wording was off and you meant they can compute more than we can, and if that is the case, then this is true. But, a computer or chip will never know more than the brain will.

Very interesting thoughts. This could open up quite a big discussion that could go on and on.

You are correct about change. Change will happen no matter what! You can either fight it (and lose) or adapt to it.
