No Christmas at homeA Poem by JohnBA quick jotting at the end of a Friday about the upcoming holiday at the house.
There's a startling occurrence on Terraceview lane
There will be no Christmas- it's sort of a shame No wreath, no lights, no tree and no stocking the house will be bare, predictably full of nothing What is the cause of this bane we all see? Simply put, the spirit of the home wanted to be free No longer a home but a house- empty and cold Its hard to believe it was once a joyous household Are you surprised this is so, this absence of spirit? It's a consequence of choice- It's still hard to hear it © 2010 JohnB |
