The ApologyA Poem by JohnBJust a collection of images and thoughts I had while trying to make sense of a broken marriagePlanned through destiny Prepared by thought Perfected through experience Meeting you was a lesson in brilliance
Warm spring sun sparkling off the lake reflected in your eyes certainly not fake Enveloped in blossoms galore your presence within them made the roses sing encore! The fountain ceremoniously shaped like a turtle joyously shared its bounty without hurdle
How could something so divinely provided carry an undercurrent of doubt it was only a reflection, dear Sherlock of a life filled with withouts
Fences shabbily mended not as strong as could be couldn't stand the dark clouds known only as me
Misperceived events while veritiously merited were neither black nor white whose truths were thus ferreted
So now a search for meaning ensues whose journey just begun will only end in happiness when the untruths are undone
My wish for you dear friend if I could be granted just one is a heart that's learned true forgiveness or a heart that's been earnestly won © 2010 JohnBReviews
